When deputies arrived on scene it was determined that both vehicles involved had been traveling westbound on 220th Street when 21-year-old Jeremiah Patten from Spirit Lake who was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 attempted to pass Ashford Williamson who was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD. Both vehicles collided causing’s Patten’s vehicle to lose control and enter the northwest ditch and rolling at least 3 times before coming to rest on the trucks passenger side. Patten was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his vehicle through his driver’s window. 1. Electric trucks are fast and silent. Way to fast for a hothead to handle. That will be a coming problem for reckless driving. All the weight is shifted between the 4 wheels as opposed to the front end. Jacking up a truck on big knobby tires is not going happen. The heavy battery off the ground that far up will be a hazardous. Impact will result in a horrific explosion that will not end well. Like a bomb it will explode and burst into very intense heat. Roasted alive. No more joyriding for junior.
