North Iowa man hurt in auto accident south of Rockwell

ROCKWELL – A North Iowa man was hurt in an auto accident south of Rockwell Tuesday afternoon.

On February 1, 2022 at about 3:24 PM, the Cerro Gordo Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle rollover just south of Rockwell on Hwy 65. Daryl Norman, age 75 of Hansell, was northbound on Hwy 65 when he lost control due to road conditions and rolled his 2007 Ford Ranger into the east ditch. Norman was transported to Franklin General Hospital by Franklin General Ambulance to be evaluated. Norman was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.

The accident remains under investigation.

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Rockwell-Swaledale EMT’s, Rockwell Fire Department, Mason City Fire Medics and Franklin General Ambulance.

Don’t think so. The guy was 75 years old. Maybe playing with his radio but not texting.
