Joan Strickler, Mason City native with roots in north Iowa, dies at 92

Joan Marie Hartwell Strickler, a north Iowa woman whose life began in Mason City and carried forward through family, community and the many relationships built over 92 years, has died. Strickler was born April 14, 1934, in Mason City, the daughter of Leland Harold Hartwell and Ruth Marie Treloar Hartwell. She passed away May 28, 2026, at Rehabilitation Center of Allison.

Joan Marie Hartwell Strickler, a north Iowa woman whose life began in Mason City and carried forward through family, community and the many relationships built over 92 years, has died.
