MANLY – A fire with billowing smoke was extinguished after an emergency response Friday evening in Manly.
The fire was reported around 7:30 PM in Manly. It was blazing east of East Walnut Street and behind the Central Springs School. Bystanders were not sure of the specifics of the fire, but NIT is told the fire consumed the trees and some object(s), causing a lot of dark smoke.
The Manly Fire Department and Worth County Sherriff responded to the fire call and seemed to extinguish the blaze without great loss of property. There were no reported injuries in the incident.
