CHARLES CITY – The city of Charles City is seeking an Executive Director for dozens of public housing units in town.
According to a new job posting with the city of Charles City, the Housing Authority in Charles City is responsible for the administration of 148 public housing units and 207 Section 8 housing choice voucher units. They seek an Executive Director, who would work with the Charles City Housing Board but is under the supervision of the City Administrator. A successful candidate, according to the job posting, will have proven skills in working with citizens groups, elected officials, and professional staff with excellent writing, speaking, presentation and interpersonal skills. Experience in working with federal housing programs, office management, accounting, federal procurement requirements, and grant administration is preferred. This is a federally funded position.
