SYRACUSE, NY – Iowa knocked off a traditional ACC power in defeating Syracuse Tuesday night on the road, 68-54.
Iowa (6-2) led 30-29 at halftime. The second half was all Hawkeyes as they outplayed Syracuse (4-4) by a score of 38-25.
Big Ten leading scorer Luka Garza led all scorers with 23 points tonight, it was the fourth time he topped the 20-point mark this season. Jordan Bohannon hit a season-high five three pointers tonight.
Syracuse’s point total is the fewest scored by an Iowa opponent this season (54).
The 20,844 in attendance was the fourth largest crowd for an Iowa regular season game.
Cordell Pemsl (back) and CJ Fredrick (quad) did not play.
Iowa’s next game is Friday against No. 4 Michigan.
