CLEAR LAKE – A Mason City man is guilty of drunk driving earlier this year in Clear Lake.
A Cerro Gordo county deputy conducted a traffic stop at the 2000 block of Highway 18 East at about 12:26 AM Saturday morning, January 28, 2017, when the driver failed to obey a traffic control device. As a result of the stop and investigation, the driver, 24-year-old Brandon Lee Mueller of Mason City was arrested on charges of failing to obey a traffic control device, open container of alcohol, and operating while under the influence.
Mueller later pled guilty to first-offense operating while intoxicated and was ordered to pay $1863.50 in fines and court fees and was sent to jail for two days, as his driver’s license was revoked. The other charges were dropped.

No need to cry, you didn’t hurt anybody.
