MASON CITY – An NIT reader sent the following video to NIT with the hopes that someone might be able to identify a thief.
“Here is a video of a man stealing some items from our home on 5-8,” our reader wrote, of an incident that took place at their Mason City home. “Maybe one of your readers knows who this is as it seems lots of thefts going on around Mason City. He came right up to our front window on his bicycle and helped himself to lighted ornaments.”

You have no right to make snide comments on the fact they have cameras set up to surveil their property. It would be great if everyone did this to help the police. Catching criminals this way would let the burglars in this town know that they may be on tape. Motion-activated lights would have likely scared the jerk away, too. People have every right to protect their homes, their personal space, with cameras, alarms, sirens, whatever, to keep themselves safe. If you choose not to, and something horrible happens to you by a stranger, good luck to the police figuring out who did it. And I hope you have all your household goods insured!

Camera’s are great. I recommend the Samsung brand. Pay a little more but the quality is much better.
Stupid thieves listen up. Look around for a circle of small red led lights at night. That’s the light lighting you up at night for the camera. I have all around my house and they blend right in. I even installed them at night so not even my neighbors know I have them.

My daughter started out with pot and moved to heroin, according to her everybody she partied with started out with pot so saying that pot is the gateway drug sounds about right to me.
