Death of Fort Dodge woman ruled a homicide

FORT DODGE – A Fort Dodge woman was recently discovered dead, and the circumstances surrounding her death have now been ruled a homicide.

On December 29, 2016, at approximately 12:20 AM, officers with the Fort Dodge Police Department were dispatched in tandem with Fort Dodge Fire Rescue and Unity Point ambulance services to 5-6 South 11th Street for a call of an unresponsive female located inside the Caldwell building. Once on scene, it was determined that the woman had passed away prior to arrival and there was no opportunity to provide her with medical assistance. The woman located in this incident was identified as being 50-year-old Lorri Alexander of Fort Dodge.

At this time, police say, the facts and circumstances surrounding the death of Miss Lorri Alexander are still under active investigation. Autopsy results received on December 31, 2016, indicated that her death was ruled to be a homicide. The Fort Dodge Police Department is working closely with the Division of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to ensure that all possible questions are being asked and answered of this occurrence so that we might bring closure to the friends and family of Miss Alexander, and justice to the person(s) responsible for her death.

Fort Dodge police say that there is no evidence suggesting that this was a random event and there is no reason to believe that there is an ongoing threat to the citizens of the community. Further, police are asking the public to get involved with any helpful information that you might have concerning the activities or personal encounters of Miss Alexander prior to her death, or information that could help us to clarify the circumstances that surround her death.

Get used to it. Prestage is filling their busses with Somalis right now.

“There is no evidence to suggest this was random.”. But there is no evidence this was not random, because there is no evidence. You have to watch the wording very carefully. If there is nothing to show “random” is true or false then it can be true or false. Statements like that are to give people a FALSE sense of security.
