MASON CITY – The NIACC softball and volleyball teams both received NJCAA academic team honorable mention awards for having at least a 3.0 team grade point average for the 2015-16 academic school year.
The NIACC softball team had a team GPA of 3.38 and the Lady Trojan volleyball team had a team GPA of 3.13.
The NJCAA academic softball team of the year was Lincoln College with a 3.67 GPA. The top volleyball teams were Mineral Area College and North Platte CC, who both had a 3.74 team GPA.
