CLEAR LAKE, IOWA – Fire fighters were called to battle a car blaze Saturday morning on Interstate 35.
The Clear Lake Fire Department responded to a report of a car fire Saturday May 7, 2016 at 8:26 AM on the Avenue of the Saints at mile marker 188 in the west bound lane. The Clear Lake Fire Department responded with 2 pumper trucks. Upon arrival the Clear Lake Fire Department reported that the vehicle, an older model Toyota Camry driven by Matt Ochoa of Clear Lake was totally involved with fire. The Clear Lake Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire quickly.
No injuries were reported and the vehicle is a total loss. Clear Lake Fire was assisted on scene by the Clear Lake Police Department and the Iowa State Patrol.
