Dumont domestic abuser arrested on warrant

jailDUMONT, IOWA – A Dumont, Iowa domestic abuser was jailed this weekend on an arrest warrant connected to his latest crime.

On April 22, 2016, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office arrested Zachary Scott Penning, age 31 of Dumont, on a Fayette County Warrant. Penning had a warrant for Probation Violation (Felony), original charge of domestic abuse assault – 2nd offense, and Harassment 3rd Degree (Simple Misdemeanor). Penning was picked up and transported to the Fayette County Jail where he received an initial appearance.

Penning was later released on a $2000 unsecured bond. He also faces a new charge of third-degree harassment, brought April 18 by Fayette county sheriff’s office.

Penning was charged in August of 2015 with third or subsequent offense domestic abuse assault. He was able to plead that down to second offense domestic assault and was sent to a halfway house along with probation. He has now been accused of violating his probation three times; the first two times he was found guilty.

No it didn’t go both ways

I think it probly went both ways. I’m not choosing sides or anything but it’s jus wat I think.

But he is just mis-understood. Turn him loose so he can do it again.

I’m glad everyone can see and that didn’t believe me I’m glad I got out of that relationship just waiting for a divorce to be final.
