NIT – NIT readers have chosen Godfather’s Pizza as the best pizza joint in town.
Godfather’s was the runaway winner with 40 votes, besting Papa Murphy’s 40-20. Little Chicago was third with 14 votes.
In the poll – posted randomly on NorthIowaToday.com for a month – any reader could cast just one vote. The poll had seven choices, featuring the top pizza places in town.
Godfather’s has always been a favorite of Mason City, and the poll seems to back that up, although there are several good choices in town. Godfather’s is particularly busy on weekends and after high school sporting events.
“If I had to eat pizza in Mason City and had just one choice, I’d go to Pizza Hut,” one NIT reader said. “I love their new pop-dispenser.”
Another person was upset that Casey’s wasn’t on the list.
“I like Casey’s because they have tasty pizza and soem good deals there.”
We’ll add Casey’s to the poll next time.
