Nora Springs fire department surprises boy at school with gifts

NORA SPRINGS – Nora Springs firemen presented a special gift to a young boy at his school today.

The Nora Springs Fire Department surprised Michael Young in front of the whole Nora Springs Elementary School during their R & R gathering Tuesday. They made him an Honorary Nora Springs Fire Department Chief by giving him a helmet with his name and number on it. He was also given a fire jacket and plaque.

Michael won a Halloween costume contest held by the fire department. He had dressed up like a fire truck.
