Himanshu Kumar is an Indian badminton player who is steadily building his presence on the competitive badminton circuit in the United States. Having grown up in India, where badminton is more than just a sport, Himanshu developed his passion for the game at a young age and committed himself to continuous improvement through disciplined training and competitive play.
With the dream of competing at higher international levels and gaining global exposure, Himanshu made the bold decision to move to the United States. Since arriving, he has actively participated in badminton tournaments across multiple states, including California, Texas, Chicago (Illinois), Nevada, and Georgia. He has competed in well-known events such as BBC, FBC, and many other open and regional tournaments, gaining valuable match experience against strong competition.
Currently, Himanshu is training at Sonic Badminton Academy in California under top-notch coaches who are helping him refine his technique, improve his physical conditioning, and elevate his overall game to international standards.
Each tournament represents another step forward in his long-term mission of establishing himself as a recognized name in international badminton. Facing new opponents, adapting to different conditions, and learning from every match has strengthened his mindset and sharpened his game.
Himanshu’s journey has not been without challenges. Moving to a new country, adjusting to a different competitive environment, and managing the demands of high-level competition require persistence and resilience. However, his focus remains clear: consistent improvement, regular tournament participation, and building a strong reputation through results and professionalism.
“My goal is to represent myself and my country with pride and eventually compete at higher international levels,” says Himanshu. “Every tournament in the U.S. is a learning experience, and I am committed to putting in the work needed to reach the top.”
