One hurt in car versus deer collision near Clear Lake

RURAL CLEAR LAKE – One person was hurt in a car versus deer collision near Clear Lake Sunday morning.

On February 23 at 12:22 AM, the Cerro Gordo county sheriff’s office was dispatched just east of the intersection of 255th Street and Jonquil Avenue for a report of a car versus deer accident report. Upon arrival, a deputy discovered a Silver 2009 Dodge Avenger with extensive front end damage. The Driver, Elise Gardiner, age 19 of Mason City, was not injured at the scene. A juvenile passenger, however, was transported by the Clear Lake Fire Department medics to Mercy One North Iowa for minor injuries.

The Cerro Gordo county sheriff’s office was assisted by the Clear lake Police Department and Clear Lake Fire Department.
