Cops in Minneapolis search for suspect who beat woman to death

MINNEAPOLIS – On Thursday, September 3rd at approximately 1:00 AM,
officers from the Minneapolis Police Department responded to the report of one down in the area of E. Lake Street and 12th Avenue South.

Upon arrival, officers located a Native American female, later identified as Rebecca Rose Anderson, age 31. Anderson is described as 5 foot 4 inches tall, long brown hair and brown eyes. Anderson was severely beaten and unconscious.

On the evening of November 26th, Anderson died as a result of her injuries. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner has ruled her death a homicide.

In October, the police department asked for the public’s help on this case. At this time, the police department is renewing its plea for information regarding this attack. The Minneapolis Police Department is teaming up with CrimeStoppers of Minnesota to provide a cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction in this homicide.
