Mason City woman busted with 35 pounds of pot on Nebraska interstate

marijuanaKEARNEY, NEB. – A weekend traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Buffalo County led to the seizure of 35 lbs. of marijuana and one arrest.

Around 1:00 p.m., Sunday, January 11, a trooper stopped an eastbound 2013 Chevy Sonic for failure to maintain its lane, two miles east of the Minden exit on I-80. An NSP canine indicated to the odor of drugs coming from the vehicle. A search of the car led to the seizure of 35.4 lbs. of marijuana. The marijuana was located in duffle bags in the trunk of the vehicle.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, Lori L. Ferleman, 48, Mason City, Iowa was lodged in the Buffalo County Jail on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.
