Mason City man stopped for third time drunk driving

MASON CITY – Things got testy Wednesday night when a Mason City man was caught drunk driving and refused to cooperate with police.

Wednesday evening, a report was taken of a possible drunk driver, and law enforcement was alerted. A traffic stop was conducted by a Cerro Gordo deputy near 12th Street NE and and North Hampshire Avenue. At the scene, the driver, Gary Duane Foutch refused to leave his car during traffic stop after an officer ordered him to do so. The situation became a traffic hazard and multiple officers were called to scene as traffic was backing up. Fetch soon left his vehicle and was placed under arrest. He was charged with second offense operating while intoxicated and interference with official acts.

Foutch is no stranger to drunk driving charges.

He was arrested in 2001 by Mason City police and pled guilty to second offense operating while intoxicated, which cost him nearly $5,000 in fines and court fees.

Fetch was arrested earlier in 1999, again by Mason City police, and pled guilty to first offense operating while intoxicated, which cost him $1,425 in fines and court fees.

Most recently, Foutch pled guilty to public intoxication on October 31, 2014, and was ordered to pay $214.50 in fines and fees.

Do you think??? get him off the road before he kills someone.

@FUBAR-People like this don’t care. They have no respect for themselves or the law. They will just let him out in a week so he can go to the bar and drive home drunk. Just like Philospus, it is always someone else’s fault.

He could possibly have a drinking problem.
