NASHUA — Randy Kenneth Babcock, 47, of Nashua, died unexpectedly Saturday, July 25, 2026, at his home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Veterans Hall in Nashua.
Born August 16, 1978, in New Hampton, Randy was the son of Kenneth and Judith Heiselman Babcock. He attended New Hampton Community Schools through the eighth grade and grew into a gentle, steady man who found happiness in family, animals and the simple routines of everyday life.
Randy loved hunting and fishing and especially enjoyed watching deer and other wildlife from his backyard. Quiet time outdoors brought him peace, and he appreciated moments that others might easily overlook.
He also collected items featuring ducks, filling his life with reminders of one of his favorite interests. Trips to Walmart and Fleet Farm were among the familiar outings he enjoyed.
Some of Randy’s happiest moments came from spending time with his nieces and nephews. Whether sharing a conversation, heading out on an adventure or simply being present, he made those around him feel loved and valued.
Randy was deeply devoted to his dog, Rusty, and his cat, Mouse. The two animals were his closest companions and brought comfort, loyalty and happiness to his daily life.
Randy is survived by his parents, Kenneth Babcock and Judith Kelleher and her husband, Harold; sisters Deb Heying and her husband, Chris, of New Hampton, and Jenny Kramer and her husband, Greg, of Algona; nephews Zach Heying and his wife, Hannah, and Luke Vsetecka; and nieces Kaitlyn “Katy” Vsetecka, Kelsey Bilharz and her husband, McCoy, and Lindsey Vsetecka.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and cousins John Galligan and Jeffrey Dreckman.
