Statement from Iowa Federation of Labor President, Ken Sagar, in regard to Governor Romney’s visit to Iowa today:
“No wonder Mitt Romney is still struggling to gain the trust of Iowa voters – more than the 47% he infamously disparaged. The Romney/Ryan budget would hurt public schools and turn Medicare into a voucher program, which would be devastating to Iowa families. He is so out of touch that at the Denver debate he said “The place you put your money makes a pretty clear indication of where your heart is” – but unlike voters here in the Heartland, Romney’s money is stashed in places like the Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Switzerland and China. We have a very clear indication of where his heart really is, and it isn’t here in Iowa.” Ken Sagar, President Iowa Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO.
You want to support Obama, you had better read this. I have confirmed through multible sourses that Obama is going to raise the costs of Medicare to $247.00 P/month, p/person in 2014. The Democrats are keeping it quite until after the election. The Republicans are telling everyone about the $716 Billion they are stealing from Medicare and this is part of it. $716 Billion does not resonate with most people but $247.00 P/month does. They are funding Obamacare for the welfare babies on the backs of seniors who have worked all of their lives for their money. Vote them out.
I’d love for you to link to your “multiple” sources that verify medicare is going to go to $247 in 2014. All I can find are sites that say this is nonsense from hoax emailers.
These people are the problem and do not realise it. Unions have outlived their usfulnes and have not changed with the times. They are the main reason we have lost jobs in the U.S. These people have attitudes that are detrimental to the welfare of the rest of the people in the country. Look what the unions have done to Europe. That is what they would like to do here. Obama and his socualist policy’s have got to go.

Watched the you tube video and he sounds logical. All the points he made when taking them in context makes perfect sense.
The haters sure screwed up putting that video up to put trying to make Romney look bad. He sounded good.
It doesn’t appear to me that Obama has done anything for the unions. How could Romney do any worse? Of course, Obama is good at blaming everyone else for the state of affairs we are in, but if he is elected, who is he going to blame for the last four years? The price of groceries or gas and everything else wasn’t like this when Bush was in. I gave Obama a chance and he is a big let down. He and his family go on more trips and running all over the country than any president we have ever had. Thanks to him, our young people will inherit such a massive amount of debt, I do not know what will ever become of this country. No, we can’t endure another 4 years of him and yes, I am worse off financially than I was 4 years ago. So, tell me why the unions would support him?????????/////////
To start with Obama saved the auto industry in this country and along with it probaly a million related jobs. We all know what Mitt wanteed to do.
Oh, yes. Obama saved GM. But he only saved the dealerships and jobs of the dealers who supported him. He terminated those who had donated to the GOP or who had contributed to his Democratic opponents! He’s a self-serving jerk and transparent as hell.
I get a real kick out of the commercial running on TV for some Democratic congresswoman or senator narrated by a Republican GM dealer who enlisted her help to save his dealership when GM went belly up. He probably had to contribute to her campaign as well as to Obama’s in order to save himself.

Unions certainly haven’t done a good job of keeping jobs here in the USA. They are the main reason companies have picked up and left this country and why we are in the pickle we’re in now! Look in the mirror, Ken Sagar.
Saw a billboard the other day up in Minnesota.
It said: HAD ENOUGH? VOTE ROMNEY
Mr. Sager, as a union man I am voting for Romney because he will create jobs. If it wasn’t for my unionized Republican employer I would not have such a great job.
What you fellows don’t realize is, that government can’t create jobs. The Government can take our tax dollars and create work, however, once the work is done the money is spent and we are laid off.
I prefer to work for an employer that makes a profit so he can continue to keep me employed.
Get it?
the republican’s are all about union busting the last couple of years??
Democrats and Republicans never support unions. The politicians all talk a good game but if you think the Democrats are your friend you are living in a dream land.
I get it just fine, unions have forgot they have to make their employers a profit. Public Unions are nothing more then a rip off with tenure. They are a lot of cause of America’s problems.
It it time we all start trying to save this country instead of you boy tearing us down!
I think ALL unions are a rip-off. Democrats are certainly more pro-union than Republicans are, and I would love to see Romney bust a few unions!!!!
OIC, we need four more years of Obama’s failed policies. 4 more years of the same looking for a different result. I guess not. Obama is circling the drain.
