Three charged after fight in small Northern Iowa town

ARMSTRONG, IOWA – Three people were charged recently in regard to a fight that occurred in the small Northern Iowa town of Armstrong.

According to Emmet County Sheriff Mike Martens, on June 19th shortly before 10pm a sheriff’s deputy on patrol saw a person in the parking lot of the North Union School signaling for assistance. Upon investigation at the scene, it was determined that three people from Armstrong had been engaging in an altercation.

As a result, Zackary Asche, age 19, and Colten Neusch, age 19, both of Armstrong were placed under arrest and transported to the Emmet County Jail where Asche was charged with assault causing bodily injury and Neusch was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of tobacco products.

A 17 year-old juvenile, also involved in the incident was charged with Going Armed With A Dangerous Weapon and was referred to Juvenile Court Services.

A charge is merely an allegation and all persons are presumed innocent until or unless they are found guilty in a court of law.
