CLARKSVILLE — Daniel LeRoy “Danny” Ross, 49, of Clarksville, died Friday, July 24, 2026.
A public visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Woodley Funeral Home, 519 North First Street in Greene.
A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Danny was born April 2, 1977, in Charles City to Robert Ross and Teresa Miller. He attended Greene Community School and graduated with the Class of 1995.
He worked as a plant operator for Zinpro.
As a young man, Danny rarely stayed still for long. His family recalled that he “didn’t have time to settle,” as he was always looking for something new or exciting to do.
Those adventures included racing figure-eight cars with his brothers, pulling water tubes behind his Jon boat and preparing his favorite meal of chicken and rice.
Danny enjoyed talking with people and could turn a simple goodbye into several more conversations. When it was time to leave a gathering, he could often be found stopping to speak with at least five people on his way out.
His children were at the center of his life. Danny supported their interests and could be found cheering them on through wrestling, beauty trends, cello performances and the many activities that brought them happiness.
He encouraged his children from the sidelines with a broad smile and words of support. Though his life was brief, his family said the impression he left will remain with those who knew him as a father, son, brother and friend.
Danny is survived by his children, Max, Kora and Lenox, and their mother, Nikki; his mother, Teresa Frerichs and Dean Bergman; sister Katie Turner; brothers Lee Frerichs and his wife, Courtney, and Cody Frerichs; their father, Bryan Frerichs and his wife, Lori; nieces Sage Frerichs and Jade Turner; nephews Mack Frerichs and Jarrett Turner; and his beloved dog, Luna.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ross; maternal grandparents LeRoy and Elaine Miller; paternal grandparents Cliff and Dorothy Ross; uncles Gene Ross and Gary Ross; and cousin Jason Ross.
