BLAKESBURG, IA – A man on a four-wheeler struck a train and is dead as a result of the accident Wednesday.
The Iowa State Patrol reports that on Wednesday, November 5 at about 10:11 AM, a Blakesburg, Iowa man, 51-year-old Greg L. McCoy, was southbound while riding a 2002 Honda 4-wheeler on 690th Street in Monroe County when he struck a westbound Canadian Pacific train at the Brompton rail crossing. McCoy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
