RURAL MASON CITY – Police chased minors from a rural Mason City farm this week, where an alleged underage drug and booze party was underway.
Cerro Gordo deputies went to 17046 310th Street just north of Mason City on Thursday, August 14 after 11:00 PM, in response to a complaint that was called in about underage drinking and drug use on a farm property. Upon arrival, subjects fled the scene. One subject who was located by deputies at the scene was cited for minor consumption, 19-year-old Ethan Awe of Clear Lake.
According to Sheriff Kevin Pals, “all other under age participants got away. One vehicle was left at the scene that was disabled after driving through a corn field and one vehicle abandoned in the ditch. No drivers found or other charges.”
