The Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, met in special session pursuant to adjournment at
9:00 a.m. Present: Chairman Chris Watts, Vice Chairman Casey Callanan, Supervisor Carl Ginapp, and various members of the public.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the FY26 proposed budget.
With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:43 a.m.
Various tabulations, reports, correspondence and other documents that were presented at today’s meeting are placed on file with the supplemental minutes.

PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
February 24, 2025
The Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, met in regular session pursuant to adjournment. Present:
Chairman Chris Watts, Vice Chairman Casey Callanan, Supervisor Carl Ginapp, and various members of the
public.
Chairman Watts convened the meeting at 10:00 a.m.
Callanan moved with Ginapp seconding, to approve today’s agenda and the minutes for the February 18, 2025
regular session. Motion passed unanimously.
Public comment session was held.
Ginapp moved with Callanan seconding, to approve claims. Motion passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Ginapp seconding, to approve the Clerk’s Monthly Report of Fees. Motion passed
unanimously.
Callanan moved with Ginapp seconding, to adopt the Corrected Resolution 2024-51, WHEREAS, Resolution
#2024-51 was approved by the Board of Supervisors on June 24, 2024 and was recorded on June 25, 2024 with
the Cerro Gordo County Recorder’s Office as Document No. 2024-2819, and WHEREAS, the legal description of
Parcel B described in Resolution #2024-51 contained errors (including omissions), and WHEREAS, the correct legal description of Parcel B should be described as, Parcel B located in the Northwest Quarter (NW1/4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW1/4) and the Southwest Quarter (SW1/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW1/4) of Section 6, Township 95 North, Range 19 West of the 5th P.M., Unincorporated Town of Hanford, Cerro Gordo County, Iowa as described in the Plat of Survey dated May 8, 2024 and recorded on May 9, 2024 with the Cerro Gordo County Recorder’s Office as Document No. 2024-1993, and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, that the legal description of Parcel B in the corrected resolution be approved. Motion passed unanimously.
County Engineer Billings provided an update.
Callanan moved with Ginapp seconding, to go into exempt session under Iowa Code Section 20.17(3) for strategy session for public employer related to collective bargaining at 10:14 a.m. Roll call vote: Callanan – Aye; Ginapp – Aye; Watts – Aye. Motion passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Ginapp seconding, to come out of exempt session at 10:57 a.m. Motion passed unanimously.
Ginapp moved with Callanan seconding, to adjourn at 10:57 a.m. Motion passed unanimously.
