FARRAGUT, IOWA – An Iowa man is behind bars after police faced off with a suspect allegedly armed with a machete, putting children in danger.
On December 10, 2023, at approximately 8:17 AM, Iowa deputies were called to Farragut, Iowa, for a disturbance. The caller advised that a male had previously lit a fire inside the residence and was armed with a machete.
Deputies, along with assistance from the Shenandoah Police Department, Page County Sheriffâs Office, and Iowa State Patrol, responded to the scene.
Deputies arrested Shaun Michael Webber, age 34, of Farragut. He was charged with:
o Four counts of Child Endangerment
o Arson 1st Degree
o Domestic Abuse while armed with a weapon.
Webber was jailed on $35,000 cash bond.
