ROCK RAPIDS, IA – The Lyon County Sheriff’s Department investigated a two vehicle accident which occurred on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at approximately 8:29 a.m.
Donald Nelson (48) from Little Rock, IA was operating a 1998 Buick Park Avenue southbound on K-60 (Indian Ave.) at approximately 170th Street at which time a 2000 Ford F250 operated by Myron Krull (67) of Rock Rapids, IA was northbound. Krull was attempting to turn left into a driveway when he turned into the path of the other vehicle being operated by Nelson.
Nelson’s Buick received approximately $2,000.00 in damage. Krull’s Ford received approximately $4,000.00 in damage.
Nelson was transported by the Lyon County Ambulance for possible injures.
Assisting at the scene were the Rock Rapids Fire Department, the Lyon County Ambulance and the Iowa DNR.
