Wanted Mason City man caught by police

MASON CITY – A wanted Mason City man was picked up in his apartment by deputies after he failed to show up in court on a drug possession charge.

Jeffery Alan Hisel, Jr., age 24, had a court date on May 19 on possession of marijuana charge. Hisel failed to show up for his arraignment, and a warrant for his arrest was issued. Police went to his apartment at the Kentucky Ridge Apartment complex and took him into custody.

Hisel is being held on $1,000 cash bond.

Hisel pled guilty to drunk driving last year, and in exchange, the judge threw out a drug possession charge. He was assessed $1917.50 in fines and fees, but had paid just $294.00 on that balance.
