Wanted Northwood man turns himself in

NORTHWOOD – A wanted Northwood man who plead guilty in a stabbing case has turned himself in.

Donald Monte Baker, age 26, had been wanted since he skipped a hearing on January 21st in Worth county district court.

Baker plead guilty to felony D assault causing injury in November after a June 5th, 2013 stabbing of Bennie Montgomery, age 28, and Valerie Merrideth, age 26, both of Northwood, after an altercation at apartments located at 607 Seventh Street North. He

Baker is being held without bond at this time in the Worth County Jail as he awaits a February 3rd hearing.
