“Skate and Sled” benefit to be held Friday

Roller City is located at 600 2nd Street Northwest in Mason City.

MASON CITY – Friday night Roller City will be hosting a “skate and sled” benefit from 6-9 p.m. The event is being held to raise funds for the new sledding hill at Georgia Hanford Park.

Admission is $7 per skater. Tyler Anderson, co-owner of Roller City said that he likes to support community projects. “Half of Friday night’s admissions proceeds will be donated to help the sledding hill project,”. “Roller City is open to partner with like-minded people in town that focus on making a positive change.”

Roller City is anticipating a large turnout . They hope to raise well over $1,000 at Friday night’s fundraiser for the sledding hill project.The Georgia Hanford Sledding Hill Project will cost approximately $20,000. That amount includes hill preparation, providing ample seating, and installing electricity and lighting.

Anyone interested in contributing to the sledding hill can also make a tax deductible contribution to the City of Mason City. In the memo line, it should be marked “Sledding Hill”.
