AMES – A fast cash store in Ames was robbed today and police are seeking a “scruffy looking” black male suspect.
According to Ames police, at approximately 9:50 AM, an employee of Easy Cash Solutions at 303 Lincoln Way, was robbed. The suspect is described as a tall, thin, black male wearing a dark colored stocking cap, grey sweatshirt, and dark pants. He was also described as “scruffy looking.” The suspect punched the victim and stole her wallet and a bank bag from the business. The suspect then left on foot. The robbery took place on the west side of the business in the parking lot. We are looking for assistance identifying the suspect.
