MASON CITY – Committees are in place and efforts are in full swing for this year’s RAGBRAI® overnight stop in Mason City on Wednesday, July 23. Over the next 4 months, many individuals will be donating their time to create a positive, memorable experience for the riders, guests and our own community. An inside look at some of the planning processes:
Campgrounds: Identifying sites that lend themselves appropriate as a campground site for thousands of our guests. Additional Committee members and volunteers are needed.
Housing: Private home stays and special camping for riders is the focus of this committee. Between 250-300 hosts will be needed. Instructions for volunteering your home, outside space or parking for RV’s / Vans will be available soon.

Carter, why don’t you put your money where your mouth is and volunteer to do some mowing?
Please please Mason City keep food places open late and early!!
Please weed eat and clean up the town. Really last yr it looked so run down just because of no mowing. Don’t you want it to look the best it can? Riders remember how clean and spruced up a town is that’s for sure. And they ride all over the town.
Maybe the bloated person they call a mayor could get off his lazy @$$ and help pick up the town. It all will be a reflection of him as it is. Maybe he will figure that out!
Eric won’t do it. He’ll hire someone first. The man don’t know what an honest day’s work is.
