Hennepin County authorities pulled a man’s body from the Mississippi River Tuesday, May 15, after he was seen jumping off the Franklin Avenue bridge.
It was the third jumping death from a Minneapolis bridge in less than a week.
According to a press release from the Hennepin County sheriff’s office, a passerby saw a man jump from the Franklin bridge about 6:15 a.m. Tuesday. The body was recovered a short time later.
On Wednesday, May 9, a man died after jumping from the pedestrian level of the Washington Avenue bridge into the Mississippi River.
Another man died Thursday after jumping from the Third Avenue bridge in downtown Minneapolis.
