A multiple vehicle crash blocked U.S. 20 east and westbound just east of Webster City, in Hamilton County, this morning. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and use an alternate route to reach their destination. It was reported that the crash involved up to 29 vehicles. The area has now been cleared, according to the Iowa DOT and traffic is flowing again.
The Iowa DOT also reported a multiple vehicle crash today that blocked U.S. 18 near Cylinder, in Palo Alto County. That accident has also been cleared, they reported.
I am horribly disappointed that the loss of a man’s life in the accident near Cylinder was not only NOT reported, but the accident itself is barely a blurb!!
