General Notes:

PLAZA BUSINESSES PLEASE NOTE: The new State Street water line will require a shut off first thing Monday morning and will affect all businesses on the Plaza… and while water service could be back online by noon, it could also take all day before service is resumed. We are sorry we cannot be more specific on a time; however, this should be the last water shut off for the entire project.

Paving in the Plaza has begun with a 3’ perimeter access to all storefronts completed on both the east and west sides of the Plaza. However, on Tuesday, there will be no access to the north doors of Southbridge Mall as paving is completed along that edge.

As work continues to complete the Plaza, pedestrians should continue to have access along this outer perimeter to all storefronts. But please tread carefully along this narrow outer edge.

3rd Street intersection will reopen and 2nd Street intersection will then be closed for storm sewer installation.

Streets will remain closed to vehicular traffic while work is underway on the affected blocks. Thank you for understanding that this is a safety and liability issue for all involved.

Again, all work start dates are ‘weather permitting’.

Week of May 16

McKiness
Installation of the storm sewer line will continue from 3rd Street south to 2nd Street, with the 2nd Street intersection closed during this work.
Work will continue to install light pier bases from 4th Street south. Sanitary sewer work in Enterprise Alley will require the north end of the alley to be closed for approximately 1 work day.

Wicks
Concrete work will continue in the Plaza, with pedestrian access maintained around the outer perimeter. Brick work should be completed on the masonry piers between State and 2nd Street. These piers include decorative ceramic tile and a light feature to be installed later.

Country Landscape
Installation of the decorative pavers in the sidewalk recesses has been delayed
for quality control reasons. We will know more next week.

Blazek
Installation of light poles in the Plaza should begin.|
