Up rising (by Peter Children)

(Submitted to NorthIowaToday.com by Peter Children)

Joe, Joker, and all other malcontents.

Understand once and for all, its not about Peter Children, Max Weaver or Don Nelson’ s concern with age. Its about honest government. Nothing more, nothing less This is America, this is a country where political differences should try to work together to the benefit of all. However if there weren’t an up rising at the time of the attempt to cut the budget for the HR office…then the camp commandant would have shut down his nemeses and he along with every other sleaze ball, would have been able to ride rough shod over the less fortunate in this community.

Who among you stood up to protest? Its as plain as the nose on your face just what was occurring…I brought it all up to Skipper months before the attempt to cut the budget….he didn’t want anything to do with it. We all know Skipper is in Bookmeyer’s camp, he doesn’t hide that fact. Stop and think, for once stretch you mental capacity….why do you think IC Systems has so many complains filed against them? Why….its not because the people who work there are bad, these are own neighbors and friends who work there….they are not unreasonable. In a time when work is so difficult to find…the abuse has to become unbearable before a complaint is filed. This about human dignity being denied to those who need and want to work.

Nelson doesn’t need to put it to bed…he’s hired by the voters to make certain there is a level playing field, at least he does not tell lies. I will be 77 next month, I don’t feel I want to quit being active. I work everyday well over 10 hours and every weekend I put in at least six hours a day.. Go to Ziggs.com if you want to know what I do. Look under Universal Products; I run a marketing company and manufacture jewelery. I have a website called theprinceofpearls.com go there as well. I work and I work hard….and I am never going to quit. Weaver may not fit your idea of what you expect, but he’s been a watch dog over this city’s finances for years and is approachable day and night.

Proof will be forth coming to prove Turncoat lied repeatedly about not wanting to shut down HR. Evidence will show without a shadow of a doubt just what his intentions really were all along. Mind you, Turncoat did not instigate the notion, he merely had his head so far up Bookmeyers ass he would have shot Foster on the spot had Bookmeyer asked. He not only lied about this but was the mayor’s puppet as well. I am very sorry but there is no other way to say it. Turncoat made his own bed. Its Ok to be sanctimonious, but as the old adage goes; if you want to talk the talk you have to walk the walk…he lied and used his faith to hide behind. You will see this evidence on video tape where Turncoat was trying to bolster his plan to shut down HR and move other departments into that space thereby saving the city $18,000.00 a year in rent.

As to where my information comes from…it comes from all over. I write and I do research, I ask questions and I ask for proof to accompany the answers….then I put it down in hopes of unmasking deception. The whole point is to urge you to make more careful selections in coming elections. Please don’t cast a vote for someone because they have more yard signs or more television ads, don’t think for a moment the candidate with the biggest bank account is the smartest or more honest….the last election proved me right on that point.

I want to leave you with some words to ponder; hopefully they will make an impression on you.

“Where, after all, do universal human rights begin? In small places, close to home….so close and so small that they cannot be seen on any map of the world. Yet, they are the world of the individual person; the neighborhood he lives in; the school or college he attends; the factory farm or office where he works. Such are the places where every man, woman and child seeks equal justice, equal opportunity, equal dignity without discrimantion. Unless these rights have a meaning there, they have little meaning anywhere. Without concerted citizens action to uphold them close to home, we shall look in vain for progress in the larger world.”

Eleanor Roosevelt

This is home to me, and as long as I can draw breath I will fight to keep that agency open….so if you want to get it on with me….then go for it.
