KELLERTON, IOWA – An Iowa man perished when his Chevy van left the road and struck a tree.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident took place on June 12, 2024. At 4 AM that morning, about two miles west of Kellerton, Iowa, a 2015 Chevy Express 3500 van was eastbound on Highway 2. The van, driven by 34-year-old James Cody Sage of Lucas, Iowa, left the roadway and struck a tree.
As a result of the crash, Sage, who was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the Patrol, was pronounced dead at the scene.
