AMES – Iowa State is set to face the last remaining NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball team Tuesday night, as No. 2 Houston comes to Hilton Coliseum for the first time as a member of the Big 12 Conference. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
Iowa State’s six-game winning streak was snapped Saturday night, as No. 11 Oklahoma downed the Cyclones 71-63 in Norman. Robert Jones, Milan Momcilovic and Hason Ward led the Cyclones with 12 points apiece. Jones and Ward each had seven rebounds to lead Iowa State. Tamin Lipsey had a game-high five assists, while Keshon Gilbert added three. ISU is now 43-73 all-time in conference openers, including a 12-16 record
in Big 12 openers.
Houston Head Coach Kelvin Sampson was Head Coach at Oklahoma from 1994- 2006 and will be making his eighth trip to Hilton Coliseum. Sampson is 3-4 in his previous trips.

The Cyclones will remain home for a second game on the week, hosting Oklahoma State Saturday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Hilton Coliseum. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
