FORT DODGE – A man was shot and killed in Fort Dodge on Christmas day.
On Sunday, December 25, 2022, at approximately 3:23 AM, the Webster County Telecommunications Center received multiple calls of a male that had been shot in the 1000 Blk 10th Ave S.W. The Fort Dodge Police Department, the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, and Fort Dodge Fire responded to the scene.
When officers arrived on scene, they located one unresponsive male in the 1000 Blk of 10th Ave S.W. Officers began life‐saving efforts on the male before medics arrived, but the male was ultimately pronounced deceased. Investigators were called in and the scene was processed, and witnesses were located.
The victim has been identified as 46‐year‐old Montreail Dungy of Fort Dodge. At this time investigators are continuing to follow up on this incident.
