Sean Hackman, 50, of Charles City, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023.
A private funeral service for Sean will be held.
Sean Matthew Hackman, the son of Virgil and Lavonne (Welter) Hackman, was born on February 28, 1973, in Charles City. Sean attended school in Charles City.
Sean had a passion for taking care of people. He was a traveling caregiver for many years including facilities in Minneapolis and Charles City. Sean enjoyed taking care of his car and had great pride in it. Sean loved animals of all kinds, especially his cats and his rescue dogs, Josie Bell and Jayla.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Lavonne Hackman; siblings: Deb (Denny) Schmidt, Charlet (Rick) Boehmer, Janice (David) Lovik, Jeff (Kate) Hackman, Lisa (Rick) Miller, and Chris (Bob) Davies; brother-in-law, George Davis; aunt, Marilyn Swancutt; 21 nieces and nephews; 18 great nieces and nephews; and 2 great-great nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Hackman; sister, Vicki Davis; grandparents; nephew, Chad Hackman; nephew, Matt Lovik; and uncle, Calvin Swancutt.
