Women’s College Basketball: Megan Meyer scores 13 points to help Iowa defeat Western Illinois, 92-65

IOWA CITY – Former Mason City Mohawk Megan Meyer scored 13 points to help Iowa defeat Western Illinois, 92-65, Tuesday in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

The Hawkeyes expanded their home-winning streak to 40 consecutive wins, ranking second in the country behind Baylor (61).

Freshman Caitlin Clark posted her first career triple double, tallying 13 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists — the first triple-double by a Hawkeye since Sam Logic accomplished the feat against Baylor (March 27, 2015).

Five Hawkeyes set career bests, including junior Logan Cook with 12 points and eight rebounds, sophomore Megan Meyer from Mason City with 13 points, sophomore Gabbie Marshall with six steals, freshman Sharon Goodman with 12 points and nine rebounds, and Clark with 13 rebounds.

Sophomore Gabbie Marshall recorded a career-high six steals.
