MASON CITY – The Friends of the Band Shell organization has awarded Ed Wineinger the “Best Friend Award”, for his contribution toward the restoration of Mason City’s Historic East Park Band Shell. The award was presented by Janice Easley, one of the organization’s leaders, at her birthday party at East Park. Ed Wineinger‘s architectural firm, Waggoner & Wineinger Architects, has donated all the architectural design services for the project, totaling approximately $20,000.00.
The initial phase of the construction project was completed in the Summer of 2010. Currently, the second phase of the construction project is being undertaken.
