CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A Rudd man is behind bars, arrested on a felony drunk driving charge.

Joshua Allen Skuster, age 29 of Rudd, was booked into the Cerro Gordo county jail at 10:12 AM on Friday night, October 18.  He is charged with felony third-offense drunk driving.

Skuster faced sentencing in September for felony drunk driving after he was arrested by Cerro Gordo county deputies back on May 4, 2019.  He had pled guilty to that charge and, despite a considerable criminal history including theft, driving while barred, public consumption,  and other charges, was given a suspended 5-year prison sentence and three years of probation, along with 30 days in jail.  He must pay $4,228.75 in fines and court fees.  Records show he still owes the entire sum of $3,866.56 from his 2016 conviction for drunk driving second-offense in Worth county.

Skuster made the news back in 2012, when he raced through Cerro Gordo county in his red 1996 Saturn at speeds in access of 100 miles per hour, according to police, as he attempted to elude.  After guilty pleas, Skuster was ordered to pay $1,805.31 but records show he never made a payment on the balance.
