From the NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE in DES MOINES

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL IOWA, including Cerro Gordo, Worth, Hancock, Winnebago, Kossuth, and Franklin counties.

DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT:

SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP LATE TONIGHT WEST OF INTERSTATE 35
WITH THE PRECIPITATION CONTINUING INTO TUESDAY.

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY:

SNOW WILL TRANSITION TO A WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION TUESDAY
MORNING BEFORE SWITCHING TO RAIN TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
ICE ACCUMULATIONS UP TO ONE TENTH OF AN INCH AND SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE TO 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE.

AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY.
GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH GUSTING TO AROUND 40 MPH MAY
CAUSE BLOWING SNOW AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES.

        The passwords are to keep ‘spammers’ from flooding the comments with useless drivel while trying to sell something, or bring you to their web sites.
