RURAL FLOYD COUNTY – A juvenile stole a truck in Floyd county and crashed into a ditch before being taken to jail.
The incident took place on August 1, 2018. The Floyd county sheriff’s office responded at 6:15 AM to a truck in the ditch north of Floyd on Highway 218. Further investigation led to the discovery that it was stolen from a rural Floyd business. That business was also broken into as was a nearby residence. After a brief search of a cornfield south of Floyd, a runaway juvenile from Orchard was taken into custody around 7:30 AM and transported to a detention center.
The sheriff’s office says an investigation continues and charges are pending.
