Ivanka Trump and Governor Reynolds meet for talks on jobs and education

WAUKEE, IOWA – Advisor to the President, Ivanka Trump, and Governor Kim Reynolds met this week at an Iowa learning center for talks on jobs and education.

Advisor to the President Ivanka Trump was in Iowa on Monday, March 19, 2018, to meet with students and take a tour of Waukee Innovation and Learning Center (APEX) with Gov. Kim Reynolds. She also participated in a roundtable discussion to learn about Iowa and the school’s innovative approach to skills training and preparing students for the workforce.

“We’re pleased to host Ivanka Trump to discuss our state’s leadership position in STEM and work-based learning,” Gov. Reynolds said. “Iowa is ahead of the curve for educating our children for the knowledge economy. A great example is Waukee APEX, which is a national model for schools of the future.”

“All across our great state, we’re seeing students drawing upon the expertise of local business partners to bring real-world application into the high school experience,” she continued. “It’s innovative, exciting and preparing them for quality careers.”

On the tour, Waukee students were able to showcase a few of the programs Waukee APEX has to offer. From bioscience to engineering and human services programs, the Waukee Innovation and Learning Center allows students to gain professional experience while exploring career possibilities.

“Over the past year, Gov. Reynolds and I have worked closely on a number of workforce development initiatives,” Ivanka Trump said. “Gov. Reynolds serves on the Task Force for Apprenticeship Expansion and remains an important voice in discussions to increase K-12 STEM and computer science education nationwide. I applaud Gov. Reynolds’ efforts to address this gap and commend her ongoing commitment to workforce development through programs such as the Waukee Innovation and Learning Center.”

Improving the skills of Iowa workers is seen in a bipartisan fashion as a top priority to compete with other states for jobs and industry.

I’m no Trumper, but Ivanka seems bright, polite, respectful, and literate. Too bad we didn’t elect her.

With all the outcry and nasty things that are being said online and in person, is it any wonder our kids think it’s okay to bully people. Just watch the so called news channels, talk shows, etc. these so called adults are setting a poor example. Watch the so called spokesman from parkland high school and his fowl language he uses when being interviewed. It is clear that he hasn’t been raised to have respect for others.

Ivanka visited a hair salon while in Des Moines, and the ‘outrage’ from the snowflake liberals is pathetic. The idiots are even threatening a boycott! WTF is wrong with people?

With all the nasty comments their so called clients have said, if I were the owner, I would tell them to go somewhere else. Sounds to me like this is a salon who serves all types of people. Ever notice that these people who want society to accept them for who they are, are hateful when it comes to someone like me who happens to believe In biology.
