IOWA CITY – A Charles City woman died Tuesday night in a crash near Iowa City.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, on Tuesday, August 8 around 10:36 PM, 35-year-old Tiffany L. Beckles of Charles City was westbound near 1160 Highway 1 outside Iowa City when the 2006 Mercury Mountaineer she was driving left the roadway and went into the west ditch and struck a DOT sign at which the vehicle then rolled.
As a result of the crash, Beckles, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died. The patrol says the crash is still under investigation.
