CHARLES CITY – Police took a Charles City man to jail after an alleged drunk driving accident that caused thousands of dollars in damage.
The incident took place August 6, after 5 AM. Charles City police responded to an accident in the 300 block of 7th Avenue. Police discovered that a 2006 Pontiac driven by 26-year-old Dylan Steinlage struck a parked 2008 Chevy truck owned by Comprehensive Systems. Police say the total damage in the accident was estimated at $12,000.
Steinlage was arrested and charged with second-offense operating while intoxicated. He was caught drunk driving by Charles City police back in 2014.
