MASON CITY – A Mason City woman has been given a fine, probation and a deferred judgement in a felony drug case and a drunk driving case.

Jamie Lynn Johnson, age 24, was arrested by the Iowa State Patrol on January 27, 2017, in Cerro Gordo county. She was jailed on a felony drug charge (failure to affix a tax stamp), possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and first-offense operating while intoxicated.

Johnson was booked into the county jail that afternoon and held on $100,000 cash or surety bond. A judge later released her on pre-trial supervision.

After a plea hearing in April, Johnson was given a deferred judgement, which means if she successfully completes probation, her record would be wiped clean. She must serve a year of probation. Johnson was also ordered to pay $654.00 in the felony drug case which was amended to first-offense possession of marijuana. She must pay $1,404.00 in the drunk driving case. Charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license under suspension were dismissed.

another one of the Johnson family, think she is the last one in the family to spend jail time for dope.

Why so many deferred judgements? She is basically getting off scott free. There were at least 2 offenses. She should do some jail time.
